Read Part # 1 here first.
This is where I made a critical mistake in my life. The Australian account that we acquired was a white label account and it became the biggest account we had. Which led us to ignore all our direct customers and focus on just this account.
Things were going great up until 2017 when, due to some reasons our customer had to close his business. Overnight we lost our largest and only customer. Which is where I learnt an important lesson, never let a single customer contribute to more than 20% in your business. I was quite dejected as I had to let go of my entire team and felt quite bad. On top of that even though we were working with many Australian companies, none of them knew about us / me as we were not dealing with them directly and I had no local network.
I ended up taking a day job where after being pushed by my wife, I registered as a sole trader again back in January 2021. That same year, I was helping our daughter with her studies as she was studying for her Selective Entrance Test. I dropped her to the examination centre and then came home and launched the website and that is how UR Digital was born.
